Lipo Batteries

Hi,

Please can anyone advise me as I don’t have much knowledge on lipo batteries. I would like to buy a 2s battery for a 7800kv brushless motor and 18a Esc combo. How do I know what to buy? Volts, C rating, Amps? Which brands are good?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Size of battery will be your first issue

then how to charge it (mine field and not like Nimh at all.

then you need to know what your speed controller will handle

I am rubbish at maintaining them (ie when not in use discharge to storage voltage etc) 

i am using with a goolRC brushless combo ebay special in my TT02b and its beyond fast - like 40mph

P.s. do some research on LiPo anyway like balance charging (you need to get a charger AND a power supply for the charger), storage charges and where to store them, maintaining them, disposal, LiPo monitors (you can’t discharge them till flat like a normal battery) etc

the speed you get is worth a few headaches though

Also, if it's a 540 size motor, a 7800kv will need closer to a 120A esc.
