Who said the thundershot is to be re-released???

Sorry Guys, I've been really busy with the house and work recently so I've not been keeping up with the forum.

Ummm, if it is true that they will re-release the Thundershot it seems a bit silly to me. Why not re-release the Terra Scorcher instead which had the better components as standard such as the uJ driveshafts and the twin shocks and anti-roll bars plus adjustable camber uprights etc or are they planning on re-releasing all the hop-up parts as well?

PS. Gruntfuggly, I have seen the rumoured Scorcher thread, didn't believe it anyway because they would have to charge so much for it that it wouldn't sell. The scorcher isn't a particularly great car compared to even a hornet in terms of handling or tunability and while it is true that many of us hold them dear it is because they invoke memories of our childhood (it was my first R/C car). Sadly there aren't that many of us prepared to pay £500+ for a re-release just to re-live our youth.

Guess they chose the Thunder Shot over the Terra Scorcher (both TS btw, interesting) as it was first from the series, looks more interesting and is propably cheaper to produce or sell, not many want them anyway as hi-tech race machines to compete with modern buggies but just to relive their youth.

Cheers

Welcome to the club tamiya1971....sorry to have to edit your post, it is nothing personal at all - we do not allow the posting of live auction links (other than your own) in the general forums. We have an ebay section where you can post your own auctions to your hearts content! [:P] Pop in and have a look at our rules and regs too - something for everyone in there!![:D]

By the way - welcome to the club !! Come on in and enjoy the "illness" that is R/C vintage racing and collecting.

Cheers
