HI guys. I wonder if you can help. I want to know how much I would have to pay to get an absolutely mint Sand Scorcher. I've got all the radio gear, just after the car. Cheers

I'd say a bit more than £300 if you wanted one that was perfect, there are bargins to be had though if you spend time looking for them, I got one that was mint, built up but never used for £150 but I think that was unusual and I still had to buy new decals for it, and also a few small chrome parts that were missing so it ended up more like £250.

Love is priceless...

Good luck, bro!

I've seen a Cheetah recently go for 330 euro's (ecl.shipping)and it wasn't even complete and mint...

Now, I don't think you can buy a SS for a bargain on eBay these days.

Push your luck at local secondhand sites and flea markets.

Absolutely mint you say, well a NIB sand scorcher with the rare black bumper sold on ebay recently for £1440. I still have the auction in my watching section to make me feel better about what i spend on vintage Tamiyas! ;) The only sad part (well to me anyway) is that the winner is probably not going to build it because it would halve its perceived value.

£200 should get you a nice complete example. A clean unrestored car is nice as the mechanicals are likely to reflect the body condition. Plus its an original timewarp. Always good!

With the popularity of this car parts are generally available so shop around. some prices are silly, but there are lots about so its not too bad if your patient. Mirrors and exhausts tend to be the mega expesive bits (first to snap off) and decals are up there too.

Good hunting ;)
