Novamadcars 230 Posted April 21, 2020 I’m wondering if someone could tell me why tamiya use 2 different colour plastics for the chassis. is there any difference in the grey plastic to the black plastic? surely there’s a reason for this.
Juggular 4914 Posted April 21, 2020 The same reason why women have so many lipsticks, I reckon. They all look the same to me. For marketing, they have an excuse to re-sell the same thing without changing anything.

TurnipJF 9116 Posted April 21, 2020 Not necessarily. Sometimes the grey plastic parts are lighter but weaker, such as the lightweight TL-01 chassis pieces. Sometimes they are stronger, such as when fibre reinforced. Sometimes it is purely a colour difference with no structural consequences. 1
