£1 Selling Fees

Recommended Posts

Guest

Hey all, so I have been doing my fair share of buying and selling during lockdown on eBay and with everyone trying to help each other etc I realised that eBay hasn't had a £1 selling fee weekend in the last 7 weeks (I think). What is really strange is that they always have a 'sale' weekend when there is a bank holiday here in the uk, but not this time (the long easter weekend).

This has lead to two schools of thought:

1. They want to make more money from the extra activity? (To secure their business 😉).

2. They are trying to restrict trips to the post office etc? (Although they have down nothing about collection only listings).

Anyway, off to strip down my latest purchase.

Yes I noticed that, I have lots of bits to sell and could do with that deal appearing

Me too, I think it’s a deliberate commercial approach in the current situation, which is a shame, but it just means I choose not to list anything!

Well I sold £800 on eBay over Easter weekend - waiting to pay my £80 to eBay now vs £8 if it had been £1 selling
