Frog wheel falls off

What’s up guys, is this just some kind of creepy bad luck or is this a known issue with the frog?

I had both of my frogs front wheels come apart within a few days of each other.

You have joined the (not very) exclusive club of Frog front wheels falling off. 

Someone recently posted a fix which involved fixing the pin through the back of the casting with a tapped hole and screw. Will try and find a link to it.

Unfortunately, a known issue with the Frog hubs.  The tap-and-screw method sounds good assuming you have the tools to do it, if not I have used Araldite (2 part epoxy).  Make sure you wipe off any excess from the axle stub before it sets or the wheel won't go back on smoothly.

The tap and screw method was posted by @toyolien as far as I can remember I remember when my Subaru brat did the same thing I was not particularly happy myself

I have a 3 legged Frog myself, @toyolien has the right idea.

Just need to sneak in the parts to work and get the machinist to spin up the lathe for me

One solution is to buy vintage knuckles. They don’t have this issue.

If only someone with access to a lathe could make a few and possibly sell them to members with three wheeled frogs, that would be awesome! Im thinking that someone would be even better if they were named after a small bird of prey or something.
