I’ve had a glorious morning in the sunshine sorting through my Vintage Acoms kit 😊

What would be the right a period correct set for my Super Champ?

I have AP-227 MKll handset with the ARB-227 R/X and AS-1 servos in my Ranger and M38 Wild Willy.

My guess would be this set up would be period correct for my Super Champ.

Also is the MSC in the picture the correct one for a Super Champ?

Again I’m pretty sure it is right from a similar question from another TC member.

As always, thank you in advance for your wisdom 👍

All the best

Yes it is

Still regret selling my SC with a fully restored chassis  :(

But I've got a stash of parts to build a new build one some day  :)

I’m still debating on whether or not to use this new old stock speed controller. I feel like I need to preserve it. Lol

Have you got anything to install the 427 kit into that you're keeping secret ?

It’s spare set Kev, I have been holding back on selling.

I have 2 other full sets, 1 in my Hilux which I tested today and the other in my Blazing Blazer which I need to test next.

Then it can go up for sale 💥

Whats the best way to remove battery acid from the battery terminals?

And sticky pads and residue from the servos?

For me it was a Futaba FP-T2F transmitter. We would convert the throttle to a slot car controller.

Love that idea, that is some real out there thinking.

I've tried a few things for removing residue from terminals white vinegar and water is good .I use 'sticky stuff remover'  from De-solvit old servo tape

I have removed the actual tape from servos by rolling it with my thumb to get the majority of it off before removing the glue with 'S/S/R'

After looking at my MSC here it looks as though you can unbolt the whole resistor section and refit another although I haven't ever done that  . I haven't seen any spare resistors so not sure if they were ever available . The MSC was also used in the 58032 Tornado and the 58033 Ford C100
