Hello,

i just saw that you can get a RTR of an Toyota Crawler for 50 Bucks.

I Think it looks very good for that Price and could a be a very cheap Base for future Builds.

I do not own any crawler, but i want one, since i know that cou can easily spend 500+ Money for a Tamiya one, i never bought one. But theese chinese RCs would be a nice litte toy to sniff a little bit into crawling my Garden.

Does anyone of you own one of them?

I think it would be awsome to have a BTTF Toyota Hilux at home, but if the Car isn`t any good i do not want to order one.

well at 50 bucks don't expect too much from this machine.

by the time you spend on any replacements and if it has any, you'll invest in a whole lot more than 50 to keep up with it.

I myself look at it as $50 off a very nice branded crawler, and the satisfaction that parts are available, be it Tamiya, Element, Redcat, RC4WD, MST, Axial, Gmade, Carisma, HPI, SSD, Cross RC and Vaterra. i'm sure you already know some of these Trail and Crawler trucks.

RC to me is like a nice fitting shoe, if it's not comfortable i don't buy it.

The Thing is that i'm not very interrested in crawling. And i do not want to get down that Rabbithole.

But i love Back to the Future. Marty gets a Toyota Hilux 4x4 and i want a Hilux Model.

The Wpl Toyota is not the same Model, but the look very similar if you paint it black and it has a very nice scale look to it.

If the Wpl one does have proportional steering it's a no Brainer, but i read different infos about it.

Oh, big news!

The "WPL C24-1" hast full proportional Controls, so it`s a nobrainer.

I only can`t find any infos if its the full upgrades Remote with the 2 Gear control, Wrench and Light Controls.

That would be super Awesome.

Jep, it`s a 1/16 Scale.

Here you can see the Specs:

https://www.wpl-rc.com/collections/c24-1/products/c24-1-rtr

For about 30 Bucks you get a multi funcional Receiver/ESC with an Radio (Capable of 2-Speed Gear shift, Lights, Sound and winch).

For about 15 Bucks you get the 2 Speed Gearbox, automatic dragbrake in lower gear. https://www.wpl-rc.com/collections/upgrades-for-4x4/products/dual-speed-gearbox

Yeah, that was my first thought, but the Spareparts are widely available.

Also i think that a full metal concersion, 2 Speed Gearbox and the better receiver will be purchased if i like crawling.

If i don't like it, i will turn it into a shelver in glossy black with a little Hoverboard.

Down the Rabbit hole it goes.....

I couldn`t resist, i`ve ordered metal Axles and Tireweights.

Also i have tabs with Metalrims, the 2 Speed Gearbox, The better Radiogear, Leafsprings and a metal driveshaft open in ma browser....

And i was so naive to think "it´s just a little toy, so i will not spend any Money on Hop Ups"

Does anyone know if i could run the standard Receiver of the C24-1 with the 2-Speed Gearbox and shift the Gears manually (with Hand)?

I´m afraid that the build in ESCreceiver isn`t srong enough for the hotter Motor.

I want to get the bigger Motor for more Speed / better climbing, but i do not want to get the cheapo WPL Transmitter yet. I think i will put a better receiver in it. But i do not know yet.

So now i have one of these WPL C24s......

The Car is crappier than i thought ^^

But it has a very nice apperence AND it climbs very easily.

I´ve installes Wheel Weights right away. Also some Leafsprings and Metal Axles are on their Way.

I did come to the decision that i need a 2 Speed Gearbox.

For the 2 Speed Gearbox a need a different Transmitter, should i buy the original V3 Transmitterset with the "Soundmodule" and the ability for a Lightswitch an a Winch or should i buy this set:

https://www.amazon.de/SmallJun-Transmitter-Change-Active-Throttle/dp/B07QRV7Q5B/ref=sr_1_8?__mk_de_DE=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&dchild=1&keywords=wpl+2+speed&qid=1610037435&sr=8-8

I do not need Sound and also do not need a winch, but it should be plug & Play '(and not very expensive). A small transmitter would also be nice, because that little Car will be my Park and Kids Toy of my "Collection" so it should be durable, tiny and inexpensive....

Also i?m not certain what 2 speed Gearboy i should get.

I want the most advanced Gearbox without the Springload and i want the best possible Motor with the most Tourque.

Any Advice what i should get?

Also you can make this, thanks to AMPRO:

I think this chassis is cool. I had thoughts of buying it too, a month ago... but then... I just cant make another decision, even if I had now like 400$ to spend on any rc car I'd first buy the D12 :D
