Hello, All.

Just joined the forum the other day, and thought I would post a couple pictures of my current build.

I'm not sure if Tamiya Club members are going to love this....or hate it.

I've seen a couple RC Halo Warthogs built before. To me, this one is best, but I might be biased....

I have installed a Yeah Racing suspension kit, Tamiya torque
control kit, 18 tooth (smallest I could find) .04 mod pinion to make up the difference on the
larger tires, a 5200kv brushless motor and ESC on 2S but capable of 3S, full ball bearings, locked rear

diff, front ball diff, Front CV axles, Tamiya aluminum heatsink and motor plate, Trinity aluminum bulkheads,

Carbon TA03 F-S chassis and shock tower braces and a kevlar belt from Tough Racing along with a few other hop ups.

I'm planning on making a custom aluminum front and rear bumper and maybe add a winch up front.

It started its life as a TA03F Audi that I bought for $5.00 at a yard sale years ago.

I haven't permanently installed all the electronics yet, but I did zip tie everything in the other day and take it for a

spin in the driveway, and I can fully confirm that this thing is a donut spinning beast.

Sorry the last pic is blurry, I was a few shots into a new bottle of Tequila by that point.....:D

Welcome aboard.  I love it :) People doing crazy things with Tamiyas is more than welcome here, IMO :)

Thanks for the replies and the welcomes, all!

I will be taking some more pictures as this progresses and maybe try and get a video of it in action, too.

Falcon#5:

It is a McFarland Toys Halo Warthog that I found at a yard sale,

it came missing the Gatling gun that's usually mounted in back.

Honestly, it would get ripped off the first time the thing flipped anyway.

So currently this model is "Spartan Troop Transport" only.

They seem to be available on Ebay for exorbitant prices...
