Acrylics paints for drivers?

Recommended Posts

Hola,
Can I use this acrylic paints over tamiya primer to paint the drivers of a Bruiser and a Blackfoot.
I'm planning to cover them with tamiya clear after the paint cures.
What do you think?

Thank you for your help!
Hector

That should work fine. You might want to consider a matt or satin clearcoat though. Glossy drivers look a bit odd, to my eye at least.

It's totally fine, I use acrylic on all my drivers and never had issues. Make sure you do a good job with the clear coat so that they are well sealed.

I agree with @TurnipJF on the finish: you might wanna do matt on the driver's body and face, and keep the glossy for the helmet only

Yes, as long as you seal if properly with a clear coat.

Acrylic art paint is slightly rubbery so will have so flex in it.

Definitely want a Matt finish.

Just stick with the humbrol - they are soooo cheap and last forever and come in a million colours in matte and gloss
