Hl0107 16 Posted May 10, 2020 Hola, Can I use this acrylic paints over tamiya primer to paint the drivers of a Bruiser and a Blackfoot. I'm planning to cover them with tamiya clear after the paint cures. What do you think? Thank you for your help! Hector
TurnipJF 9113 Posted May 10, 2020 That should work fine. You might want to consider a matt or satin clearcoat though. Glossy drivers look a bit odd, to my eye at least.
Ferruz 11556 Posted May 10, 2020 It's totally fine, I use acrylic on all my drivers and never had issues. Make sure you do a good job with the clear coat so that they are well sealed. I agree with @TurnipJF on the finish: you might wanna do matt on the driver's body and face, and keep the glossy for the helmet only

Ferruz 11556 Posted May 10, 2020 Yes, as long as you seal if properly with a clear coat.
Alwb68 125 Posted May 10, 2020 Acrylic art paint is slightly rubbery so will have so flex in it. Definitely want a Matt finish.
Problemchild 2149 Posted May 10, 2020 Just stick with the humbrol - they are soooo cheap and last forever and come in a million colours in matte and gloss JJ
