Body shell makers

Morning all. Having a flick round the usual suspects, Modelsport, Timetunnel etc and can`t see anything that takes my imagination so was wondering who else makes bodies? Apart from Kamtec I don`t know of any "independents". Do any of you know of any? UK based preferably. Cheers

Do you mean UK manufactured or just sold through a distributor in the uk?

Also, what type of body? Buggy, touring car, m size etc

ABC Hobby make some really nice stuff

MST make a limited range, but detail is up there with Tamiya, priced quite high

Killerbody stuff is nice, lots of them are 'pre-finished' however

Problem you'll have with the above is that many aren't stocked in any great quantity in the UK, so it'll be a long wait for post from the Far East.

Just bodies in general for now. Never really been into box art and would rather do some sort of scaler of road going or off roader but would like to do something fun and buggy based in the future. Last one I did was a Kamtec vw bug shell on a Stadium Raider chassis but would prefer something with more detail than the basic shell

Racecraft R/C design their own bodies and have a growing range.  Stock might be a problem at the moment though.

L&L sell lots yeah - I got my controlfreaks metro 6R4 from them (average quality and poor decals) and the Volvo 850 estate BTCC which seems better

ive had a Kamtec shell for the falcon and a TBG shell for the terrascorcher and both are good quality

Just had a look at that site. Looks to be some good stuff and going off your comments on the 6R4 looks like they stay fairly true to the real thing

Kamtec have shut their site for the whole of May, hopefully they come back in June.

L&L are clearly struggling with production, virtually every touring & rally 1/10th shell is out of stock.

I've got a TL-01 chassis (58195 - Alfa Romeo 155 V6TI Bosch) that I picked up off ebay a while back. the shell isn't terrible but its cracked and the stickers are peeling. The sheel is shared with a few other sets, but the stickers are unique. Ideally I'd like to get a stock replacement, but I can't find the shell anywhere and even out of stock or old adverts are just the shell without the stickers, does anyone know of a stockist of obscure OEM shells ?
