Axial SMT10. Body/shell options?

Got the SMT10 builders kit and left getting a body/shell till now.

Does anyone have any info on the size needed? I think the JS brand will be easiest to get in the UK but not all the bodies have the size shown,these range from 12, 12.25 and 12.75 inches inch wide and 11, 12 and 13 inches long. All say 1/10th.

I presume certain styles will suit over others for the monster trucks BUT the actual size in inches is quite a lot

The stock smt10 wheelbase is quite long, iirc 13.9 inches. You can buy link kits to shorten it to suit your shell, or leave it stock and have the wheels overhanging slightly. If you build it as a true monster then it might not show too much. If you build it in racing trim (lower, with the bottom links parallel to the ground) then it might look off or catch the shell. 

RH Designs (search Facebook) sell a shortening kit complete with proper links and away bars to take it to 12.9 or 12.5 inches to suit more bodies. 

JConcepts have a big range of bodies and list the width and wheelbase on their page. UK stock is limited but keep searching and you might get lucky. I have a few of their bodies, all look great but the 84 Ford body has a wheelbase of 13 inches but is very big, seems more 1:9 than 1:10, it dwarfs the 93 Ford bodies I have.
