What if we changed a Timaya Dark Impact into a McLaren MP4/6?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, during Corona lockdown-times, I was thinking about doing something with my Dark Impact. What good be a good idea? Well, since I've always been a big fan of Ayrton Senna, I thought "let's do something with McLaren!".

So, I bought some extra bodies to play with! Here is the result with the McLaren MP4/6 livery. Enjoy!

Love this, and the Ferrari. I had similar thoughts with my recent DI build, going for a double Senna Lotus tribute:

And Camel Avante II

Yours look really great, kind of wish I had smoked the windows of mine now rather than leaving them clear

They have a lovely gloss to them too, do you overspray them with something or is that just the paint / light?

Great job!

Those are both ace! How about a Benetton B190 inspired one? I've not got the skills so over to you 😁

That's a good shout! Muchos muchos masking

Tamiya buggies lend themselves really well to F1 tributes. I also gave my Boomerang a bit of Williams FW36 treatment...

*goes off to garage to see which buggy is going to get a new F1 inspired body...

Preferably with as little masking as possible... 😁

Liking the Williams scheme... Reckon a 92 FW11b got to achievable.

and Tamiya 19495922

Do you clear coat yours or is that just the paint finish? They look so good 👍
