Dr_GN 16 Posted May 18, 2020 All, I've been running my original Frog recently, and noticed the gearbox is a bit grindy. It also gets pretty hot after 10 minutes. Any upgrades available? Cheers.

Dr_GN 16 Posted May 18, 2020 All standard in the gerbox. Had it from new - the car was well looked after - especially judging by some of the road kill I've seen on EBay.
KEV THE REV 2304 Posted May 18, 2020 Pull out the motor and check the pinion , the alloy Tamiya stock kit ones can dissintegrate pretty fast . Tell tale signs are blackness / silver on the counter gear and pinion teeth . A steel pinion would be recommended and a good clean up of the gears
KEV THE REV 2304 Posted May 18, 2020 check pinion mesh is smooth with slight tolerance on the teeth mesh
Problemchild 2149 Posted May 27, 2020 The frog gearbox/diff will grind and click - it’s the biggest issue with that gearbox im working with a friend to design a brace to minimise it see the general section (monster beetle gear box brace) JJ
