Shodog 1835 Posted May 30, 2020 another one of my favorites to run is my Wild Willy 2. Slightly overpowered makes it tons of fun. The body is hammered.
•Axle 145 Posted May 30, 2020 Just finished the one that’s going to be mine and my daughters daily runner, might be adding flowers and peace signs galore… Paint job will do, don’t particularly like the wheels but they’ll do and made the awful mistake of cutting the sides from the WR-02 to fit the GF-01, you live and learn.
Re-Bugged 10145 Posted May 31, 2020 Tough choice really as all mine are runners to suit different moods and conditions.....its almost like having to choose your favourite child I love SRB's for what they are, and I have Buggy Champ bodies for this chassis too (must get another!!) I would say though that my Kyosho Javelin is my most 'Go To' runner for all occasions.. So I decided to combine the two for a while for the best of both worlds..and thoroughly enjoying that, But my Thunder Tiger Nitro is my most favourite runner when time allows, partly due to being a 40th present from my Father when he came to visit 8 years ago. Gives me the biggest smile,
Ray_ve 1043 Posted May 31, 2020 My best runner is Basher-Bear. 3S Lipo, 3900KV motor, 4WD HSP Himoto chassis. This thing flies! A drive today reminded me I need to glue the tires, get a wheely bar and to mount skid-plates on the roof. 2

catman79 346 Posted May 31, 2020 I feel a bit guilty as it’s not a tamiya, but this is one of my favourite runners, In fact it’s the only one which runs at the moment! My kyosho lazer zxr!
MPJG! 42 Posted June 1, 2020 Have to go with my favourite being my tamiya wild dagger. Running two torque tuned motors on 3s, not the fastest rc car i have but it shifts for an old thing. The only rc car i wouldnt sell for anything
Ferruz 11702 Posted June 1, 2020 I've already posted a vehicle but still, when talking favourite runners I just have to mention my Big Boss. A 32 year old RC car that gets driven as often and as hard as if it was yesterday's most basic re release, with hardly any issues, in every weather and temperature imaginable. It definitely earned its stripes, I swore to myself I'd go easier on it from now on but it's so much fun it's hard not to just bust through everything!
Saito2 6686 Posted June 1, 2020 Its probably down to these two, plus a stock Clod Buster not in the shot. The Monster Beetle is the one that hooked me on Tamiya so it probably deserves top billing, This example was a Blackfoot that was almost torn down for parts due to constant breakage (aged plastic failure). I replaced a great deal of the plastics and converted it into my fav, the MB in the process. The body is minimally detailed and devoid of paint (only waxed) so I have no fear of running it. Over many years, I, myself (and others) know what makes these ORV monsters tick and how to make 'em reliable. Once that's nailed down they are perfect vintage monster runners. Out of the box, they can be ok or anger-inducing failures however. The Super Boomerhotshoterang is a mixture of things I like about the original 4wd buggies. I like the Super/Hot Shot tough, rigid boxed frame with realistic rollcage, and Hotshot body sprayed in my favorite Tamiya paint, PS16. I'm also fond of the Super Shot style front suspension. Here, with CVA 2 dampers, it has full travel allowing the chassis to touch ground. Some screw pins are replaced with e-clips/shafts and additional bracing. I prefer the Boomerang/HS2 method of mounting the rear shocks ahead of the axles so I added that in. Can't get enough of the yellow CVAs! lol.

Smidsy 46 Posted June 1, 2020 My go to 2WD basher. Super Stock RZ motor, alloy servo mounts and full turnbuckle kit.
ChrisHGTV 37 Posted June 2, 2020 This is my runner - in that it's my only one! Original 80's restored with my new rere shell to preserve the old shell. The shell looks pristine as I've just finished it (apart from painting the inside black, still to do) - i'm hoping i'm not going to be too precious about it!
Aerobert 2143 Posted June 2, 2020 Currently my favourite runner is my Bullhead with Chevy body, servo on axle mod and some cheap oil shocks. Perfect for running and jumping in my backyard.
