I haven't done a step by step thread as I'm sure others will have covered this.

For once I actually everything I needed before I started. The kit itself, paint, receiver, servo and ballraces. I actually got a Tamiya servo (TS1?) and in fairness it aligned Bob on.

Last night I got it as far as a rolling chassis. Decided to stop, then decided to add the electrics. All very straight forward, the only fiddly bits I found was if you follow the instructions you have a bit of a fight installing the rear left shocker top fitting as you have to guide it round the propshaft cover. Other than that it was plain sailing

Got a flyer from work today, so after re Muttproofing the fence I've had chance to cut the body, ream out the post holes and spray the black bits for the grill and Badge holder. Luckily I'm off tomorrow so will get a good swing at masking all the silver areas off ready for spraying oner the weekend.

The black marks all over the body are where I've gone over the lines on the outside to show where I'm hoping to mask. The plan is to have Metallic red for the body and silver bumpers and trims with possibly the door handles as well.

I'm undecided whether to do the mirrors red or silver

Looking good so far!

You might consider acquiring 4 long ball connectors and reconfiguring the rear thus:

This gives more clearance between the right upper link and the propshaft gear cover so that you get symmetrical droop.

Ah. Not a bad idea. Are they available as spares from a kit?

Managed to get a bit more done yesterday. Slight overspray on the front bumper where the masking tape has failed. Annoying but not the end of the world. I really do like the body on these so may look for another as a shelfer and keep this one as a runner/project.

Windows are to smoke yet because like a doughnut I forgot to order the paint!!
