Lockdown Projects

So ... it's been 3 months since I have left the house for anything other than food or exercise. In that time I have added to my collection of vintage radio gear. Something a year ago I had no interest in. I thought it might be interesting to see what others have achieved in the last few months. Thanks to @toyolien for the latest addition.

Might have been a bit click-happy....Trouble is the Mrs is working from home so sees all the Tamico boxes. Or there’d have been more! 😂

I pulled my vintage radios out of storage a couple of weeks ago too. I've never had them all in one place before, so i made up some shelves out of some old wood planks i had in the garage.

I much prefer the old Acoms stuff to the Futaba.

How many other collectors of vintage models collect the radio equipment too?

I’m after a white Futaba attack 2 - any ideas where to look?

That is some sweet radios. I cant decide if I prefer Acoms or Futaba.

Afraid not, mine is a dark grey. Had a white one as a kid so would have preferred that too.

I think because when i was a kid, i associated acoms with the Tamiya models i had, they kind of remind me of that time, whereas i never used Futaba stuff. My friend at the time used Futaba in his Kyosho kits.

Check out item number  373071043111 on ebay. Complete white set in box for less than £15.00. Ends in 4 days.

Never seen an Attack 2 in white.

I’m actually really annoyed if it was someone on TC - thought it was a better community than that.

Given the ad had been live for a few days and only had 3 watchers and then someone posted it for me as I was after one and it sold 30mins later seems to indicate there are some nice members 

oh well - thanks anyway to @junkmunki

I aquired and built a ta05vdf. It's still waiting on some parts though and that's going to need positive income for a bit. I did get a set of wheels and tires for it. All that's left is most of it. Motor, esc, possibly new radio.

Building this kit makes me want to grab a tt02 to bash. I'm looking at all of this nice carbon and would rather not drag it along parking lots. I don't know if anyone even races TC in the cinci area anymore but I'd like to give it a go.

my current lockdown project is to add ampro light clusters to my lunchbox 

hopefully it should look sweet
