Hi, i've been running the blitzer for a couple of months now.  It's fully ball raced but otherwise stock.

The car itself is quite bouncy on the move, what suspension upgrades would you recommend?

I've got a 17.5T brushless motor and ESC combo for it, along with 2s lipo's.  Wanted it a little faster but not crazy.

Anything else you would recommend?

My Blitzer is my main runner and I really haven't upgraded much.

For shocks I run the stock Tamiya CVA shocks with three hole pistons and soft oil. Stock springs as well. This shock setup is fast and soaks up bumps well. I don't hit jumps.

A steel pinion would be good.

Rear tires need to be upgraded, pick a good 2.2 truck tire. The stock fronts are pretty good.

A lot of people swap the front knuckles from left to right to reduce bump steer from the tie rod geometry. I never did this but I could see how this would help.

There's not a lot to change without getting into custom upgrades.  As @Otis311 has already mentioned, a steel pinion is worth adding as the stock one will wear out fast and destroy your gears.  Rear tyres are notoriously bad, a lot of people fit Schumacher Vee 4s.  They come in Blue or Yellow compound depending on what surfaces you run on.  A stadium truck tyre is preferred over a monster truck tyre - a bigger tyre will increase your gearing and add more weight to that already crazy back end.

I fitted a 3Racing DF03 shock kit to mine, they're lovely alloy shocks - if you can find them.  However there's absolutely nothing wrong with the stock CVAs if you get them set up right.

I can't remember if I did the bump steer mod on mine, it's fallen off my radar.

A DT02 turnbuckle kit can be modified to fit.  IIRC you need to trim a little off the rear turnbuckles to make them fit.  I can't remember if the steering turnbuckles fit or not, it's been a while since I converted mine.  You don't really need adjustable turnbuckles if you're not racing, but the ball ends are smoother and have less play than the plastic bars and you'll eliminate those annoying step screws that back out all the time.  You could make some off-car-adjustable upper arms from threaded rod.

If you really want to go crazy, stainless suspension arm pins - the stock screw pins tend to back out during use and if they get damp they can rust, seizing up your suspension completely.  You can get stainless pins in various lengths that take a circlip on each end.  I can't remember where to get them from, tho - it's another job that's been on my todo list for so long it's fallen off my todo list.
