I’ve been looking for some time for a sound simulator that makes just a friendly horn beeping sound, think a double beep Herbie horn sound effect, or even Road Runner. Has anyone come across anything without 10 different engine sounds?

Or even something that you can play your own sound effects on?

Another question, with social distancing meaning nothing to some children, including my own sometimes when she forgets, has anyone ever added and speaker with a mic the transmitter end? She runs off across the park and I want to tell her not to go any further or come back, I can’t see a simple solution other than frantic shouting and moving my arms around…

Thanks for your time in advance!

Cheap smartphone?. Auto answer, set on loudspeaker or connected to an external speaker.

Play music through a Bluetooth speaker on your phone. Don't know about the range of Bluetooth

I don't know of any remotely-operable horn that isn't part of a more complicated sound system.  In theory it wouldn't be hard to make one using an Arduino, either powering a speaker from a digitised or synthesised signal from the Arduino itself, or by triggering a cheap electric piezo buzzer (probably available from an electronic components supplier, used to be popular back in the 80s).  Actually there's probably no reason why you couldn't connect a piezo buzzer to a switching output (which is a little circuit that converts a servo signal to an on/off current, usually used to operate LED lights).

As for transmitting voice, I have no idea - it's almost the reverse of an FPV install but that sounds like a lot of money and effort to get the result you want.  I'd actually think about a cheap kid's walkie-talkie set.  If you open the case you can probably junk a lot of parts and par it down to a smaller package.

You can Always put Walkie Talkies under the Bidyshell.

I bought 4 Walkies for 30 Euros, they work fine up to 500 Meters in a crowded City with Concrete and 5 Story Houses and up to 1,5km or so in open area.

Just take a look on Amazon and read the receptions.

Edit: just saw the 2 Comments with the Talkies, so ignore my Post  :D
