Substitute for mb6 part (2mm e-ring clip)?

Building my Top Force and one of these mb6 2mm e-clip breaks on me.  Kind of ridiculous considering the last 4-5 kits I have built generated 1/4 sandwich bag full of extra stuff.  But they don't give you a single extra e-clip in the top force/manta ray, the one part that can launch across the room never to be seen again?  Any known substitute for these e-clips, at least temporarily?

If you are breaking e-clips then investing in Tamiya tool 74032 will save you a lot of pain, although I'm sure other e-clip tools are available.

You can get packs of 2mm e-clips - Tamiya P/N 50588 - 15 per pack.
