Hi!

I have an older Losi LSR-3000 Transmitter which I would like to reactivate as a "guest transmitter". As the transmitter use DSM modulation I have searched for DSM receivers and couldn't find any but a lot of DSM2 receiver. Here's my question to the TX/RX experts:

Is a DSM2 receiver compatible to a DSM receiver? And if so are there any limitations regarding brands or anything else?

Thank you for your help.

The answer is model dependent. Many DSM2 receivers are backwards compatible with DSM, but I don't believe this is true for all of them. Best check the manual for whichever model you are considering.

As for brands, DSM is a Spektrum protocol, but Orange make clones, and I have seen a few other far Eastern fakes too.

Thank you. I will check before purchasing.
