LRP Quadra Charger

Hello,

 

i have a LRP Quadra Charger.

The Charger says that it is used for NiCad Batterys. The most of my Batterys are NiMh Batterys.
The Website claims it is used for NiMhs and NiCads.....       ...but on the Deivice itself it says "for NiCads".

Can i charge NiMhs with an old LRP Quadra Charger?
I do not understand anything in electronics......

LRP 4125 is ONLY for NI-Cad batteries. No NiMhs. Check the last page of the manual.

Thanks, i always thought that NiMhs and NiCads are identical for charging.

 

Now i have to check my cheapo voltcraft Charger if it are suitable for my new 7 cell packs....

I got myself a nearly new Quadra Competition V1 for low price. NiCd/NiMh/Pb/LiPo all for one. Never regret it.

I have some Problems....

I have 2 Voltcraft delta peak Chargers.

I think they do not work prpperly.

When i charge a 2700 nimh Battery with 200 mah, the charger finishes after 2 Hours and is into trickle.

Calculators say that i have to Charge the Pack like 16 hours.....

 

 

Is the LRP Charger REALLY not suited to chage NiMhs? That Charger seems to be very well builded......

I would love to use that LRP Charger.

 

On the Voltcraft Delta Peak Chargers is not a single word about the suitable Batterytype.

But i know that the Package said it is for nimhs and nicads.

The charger does has a Sticker on it with NiCad on it.

There is nothing about NiMh written on it.

 

There are ebay listings with a Charger that has the same Part Nr on ot but it is suited for NiMhs.

The Backlabel is the same on my Charget.

LRP Nr. 41250  is NiCd/NiMH usually.

I decided to use the LRP 4125 charger.

What ist the best current to charging NiMh Packs?

All my New Batteries say they are quickchageable. But they do not say anything If it is ok to charge them with 2 Amps or 5 Amps.

 

 

My old charger was Set to 200 miliamps, the chargingtime was between 1 - 4 hours before the deltapeak tricke was triggered.

All my Packs were loosing their Punch after a few chargings. I Hope that i did mit destroyed them all.

My Wild Dagger had 1 good run with 2 super Stock BZ Motors, now it runs for 10 Seconds fast and then 15 Minutes so slow that it can Not JUMP anything....
