Motorbrushes

Recommended Posts

Hello,

how often should you  change Motorbrushes in a Super Stock BZ?

What Brushes, should you chose?

Whats the Difference between Brushes?

Can you choose ceap brushes, or schould they be Tamiya ones for 10 Bucks?

I used to do periodic cleaning using the Tamiya cleaning brushes, but now I'm generally only running on tarmac I'll now wait until the motor stops working, then use my Tamiya cleaning brushes and put a new set of brushes in.

If motor prices fail to come back down then I'll revert back to more periodic cleaning and better looking after!

Do you have a link for good Motorbrushes?

Iwould prefer to buy a Bulk of 10 Sets or something like that....

Where could i get cleaning brushes?I did not found anything on Ebay or Amazon.

Are there any differences between the modern Brushes? 'Back in the old Days' you could get soft and hard Brushes.

I have approx 2 sets of cleaning brushes from Tamiya and maybe 5 sets of spares but even though my tshot has over 150 hours in it I've only changed brushes maybe three times???

That is a huge amount of running time for one model done over the last 6 years, following the guidelines of letting the motor cool between battery packs etc.

Don't worry about amassing too many spares unless like me you run a few models for hours and hours (I don't think most people do!?) I can dig out the part numbers Tomo for the Tamiya cleaning brushes if you want?

That would be super!

Maybe i can order them.

I'm afraid of getting no Brushes anymore in the future since brushless is the Standard now.
