Terra Scorcher 2020 Re-Re

Recommended Posts

Hi all...

Only my second post here on the forum, been building my Terra Scorcher this week...

Made a huge mistake with dying the wheels, remember in the past doing it, was rather easy, but this time the color didnt take and i ended up melting the wheels.

Decided to try a custom paint job, and the 540 will be replaced this week with a Robotronic Brushless.

That paint job looks fantastic!

You can just buy 12mm hexes and some modern 2.2" wheels and tyres if you have wrecked the kit wheels. They're a random size unique to the thundershot series anyway.

And these cheap ones are like running on ice.. more of a drifter with these.... But ****... this thing is fast.. the Robitronic brushless motor... phew... must be like 45kmh

But at least cheap until the proper Louise ones arrive...

Depending on the surface you’re running on, but something from pro-line, J Concepts, AKA, Schumacher or Hot Race (I.e. companies that make race tyres) will give you real grip. You have choice of compounds too,  Of course, that also means they’ll wear out quicker too.

Wheels and tyres look cool - what type of Louise RC are they and where did you get them?

I've only ever seen them for sale on eBay and they look a bit expensive!

I love the colourscheme, great work!

I melted my Frog wheels thinking you could dye them, I guess it's a fairly common occurrence.
