Hi all,

Dilemma... What should I pre-order

- Top Force: Fast, quality but ugly and expensive

- Thundershot: Vintage look, lots of spares, heavy and slower, cheap

- Manta Ray: Not realy an opinion

Your opinions please..

Something else

Does anyone ever ordered at HobbyLink Japan (www.hlj.com) and how was your experience??

Go for the Top Force, but get a Terra Conqueror/Blazing Star shell for it - much nice looking (IMHO)...

I like the Blazing Star Shell, can you still get them??

I believe it is. Also, Terra Conqueror (same) bodysets come up on ebay every few weeks too...

They do not offer the Top Force. And also, please add the money for transfering?! For a bank-transfer they charge 3.500 YEN!!!

Wouldn't it be cool if Hobby Dealer accepted trade-ins for your old cars, like real car dealers do.[;)]

well i have both the top force and manta ray and they are bith as good as each other in my eyes.

but if i will be buying one or the other i spose it would have to be the topforce.

I'm sorry, but have to disagree. If you were to take the Top Force and Manta Ray with same exact set-ups, the Top Force would leave the Manta in the dust. I'm just talking out of experience. I have both cars with same set-ups.

why? does the carbon chassis make that much difference? i know the topforce is spec'd better but dont understand why identical gearboxes on two slightly different chassis would perform so differently[?], i have a stock manta and a RW racing manta(pretty much a topforce) and both go equally well, the RW does handle slightly better but not that noticable, does look nicer though[8D]

I hope I'm not hijacking the thread, but I'd love to know if the new Top force and Thunder Shot cars are going to be parts compatible with their original counterparts.

Anybody Know?

The original Top Force in particular, I find very pretty to look at...I would get the new one if I knew it was going to be that beautiful.

sorry i dont agree with you on that.

cause about 10 years back when me and a freind used to go for a bash on the weekend i had a manta ray and he had the topforce(the one i own know)and there was no difference in them and we used to run the same set up as well. so either one is as good as the other one.me personally like the manta's bathatub chassis but i am not that much took on the shell but i like the topforce shell and aint that botherd on the chassis. but i did swop the bath tub chassis on my ray for the topforce carbon type just before i sold up and it did'nt make any difference apart from my wallet being a lot lighter.
