Some hobby shops have it and if i remember correctly its about £3 a tub. As mentioned it works very well on certain paints. It works very well on flat enamels, not sure about Tamiya paints. I know it took the chrome off of an old lunchbox bumper i had.

Great stuff!

Works well on Humbrol paints.

Reasonable on Auto paints

Used on Lexan paints (may have made the shell a little more brittle, or I may have just treated it very roughly since!)

Paint surface could do with a light sandpaper as it seems to work quicker/better on a matt as oppossed to shiny surface

I got this from my local hobby shop,,£4.75 a pot not to bad saying i can get a few cars stripped out of it, not had any problem as yet on the paints i have been stripping but have only used it on hard shells.

I tried this on my Monster Beetle shell, but it didn't have any affect. I'm not sure what the 6 different thick layers of paint were though, as it was an Ebay buy, so it's possible that it doesn't work that well on some paints.

Having said that, I have had success with it on other painted parts with enamel paint, and it's good at getting into crevices, it's also a lot less nasty than caustic or brake fluid. It works best if kept damp, I smeared it on the part and left it in a plastic bag for a couple of days before rinsing off.

I bought mine from a model shop in London, can't remember the name of it but it's in Holborn where Beatties once stood...

I've used model strip and unfortunately it did'nt even dull the red Tamiya paint on my RR, but on other models with paint I did not put on (so no idea what it was) it worked a treat!

I have used model strip I think it is great i lightly sand the paint surface before aplying. I also added some water to make it a bit more spreadable still works fine and it covers more bodys, it says to do this on the container if it dries out a bit .I paid £4.99 for it .It never seemed to shift the tamiya paint off a lexan escort shell i have though but i recomend it far easier than having brake fluid stored in a container .[:)]
