3 Originals to restore

I’ve been hinting to my older brother for years that he should stick his head in the loft and dust off those old cars for me. Today a surprise package turned up. He’s 6 years older at 44 and no interest, so he’s finally Let me have the cars I wasn’t allowed anywhere near as an 8/9 year old annoying brother.

The plan is to restore and not run them. I’ve been looking for a project like this for a while and this is more than I could have asked for.

The Grasshopper II runs and steers, not sure if anything is broken until I start to strip it.

Bear Hawks (the one I was really after) runs and won’t stop, even the on/off switch doesn’t stop it. The radio has corrosion on the points.

The astute has steering and suspension issues but runs and steers.

They all came with Techniplus radios.

I will update this page (For anyone that’s interested) with my progress, it’s going to be a Journey!

To say I had a smile on my face when I opened the box is an understatement. My brother lives in Scotland and I am in England, don’t see him much! He will be getting something nice in the post back!
