deciding between two 2wd buggy project ideas

I've got a hunger to put together an "old-school" rear motor 2wd buggy of late. There's two project ideas I've been playing around with. One is a Traxxas Bandit. I'd be interested in the notion of adding a fiberglass chassis, some alloy shocks, etc. and making a pseudo TRX-1-ish buggy. The other project is to get an Ultima re-re to run and possibly add a Tomahawk body to give it more of an '87 Worlds look without the graphite chassis. Slightly leaning toward the Kyosho as I love their builds and genuine quality.

I'm just finishing up my Ultima. It was a fun build and looks like it will be a fun runner. I can't wait to drive it. My vote is for the Kyosho.

I'd do the Ultima, because Bandits aren't very good buggies and they're boring. A TRX-1 would be interesting, though.

Ultima carries the prestigious badge, but , the Bandit does actually look more intersting , (mainly as I'd not heard of it, and had to Google it) and could make a car that's your own.

Looking heavily like it will be the Ultima. Everybody is Associated or Losi here in the States. I like to be different , and Kyosho stuff is so nice.

Yeah I'd go the Ultima. I have an unreasonable amount of love for those buggies.
