MT (wheel) Mantaray

Recommended Posts

Hello guys

Just browsing utube and found this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8Qqp0xhvwo.

It looks fun, but does it feasible? Ive read - in this forum - that big wheels will strain the gears/gearbox and u need a specific gear/motor configuration, CMIIW.

Ive read threads about hornets or grasshoppers with big wheels, but havent seen one with 4wd buggies.

What is ur opinion, and thanx for the replies.

I'm not familiar enough with the transmission to say. The Grasshopper gearbox is as tough as nails.

Yea, i guess it will better setting with The grashopper kit.

Googletranslated from vid comment :

"This is Superstock BZ. Manta Ray originally has a thin propeller shaft, and our car has big tires, so the driving load is high,
Once you put the reinforced propeller shaft and make it brushless, the propeller will twisted."

I watch a lot of buggies on YouTube and what people put on here running there buggies off road and often think some of the stones and rocks they go over is far to big, no wonder things break on them,I know they are built for it but there's no way i would use mine on some of the terrains I've seen being used, I'll get off my soap box now and go and sit back in the corner of the room 🤨
