This is my (now sold) DN01.

43404932661_696ed7a6fd_b.jpg

It was running a few nice hop ups, but until the last couple of months I owned it I run the CVA dampers. It's a Team Azarashi Quracca shell, supposedly for an RB5, but it fit really well. It had alloy suspension blocks, double carbon driveshafts, slipper clutch, kyosho optima gear diff conversion, 13.5/3300kV brushless with an Associated B4 72t spur and 27t pinion. I also had the 5 deg caster c-hubs on it too. Lovely thing.

I wonder if anyone has done the standard colour scheme on the Zahhak.

Not worth the trouble with those decals 😅

A guy on Tamiya Legends Facebook group has just completed a box art body-looks good!

I’d be tempted to do a box art Zahhak but the stickers look super tricky to get right.

I like the way it was a nod to the Super Astute though.

Mine with a curiously baroque looking 201 shell.

Can't use it with this shell though at the mo as it doesn't really fit over my ESCspacer.png

  • Big Bores
  • Weighted front suspension mount 54439
  • Reinforced front arms 54265
  • 30 degree hub carriers 51410
  • Aluminium rear suspension mounts 54242 54243
  • 0 degree aluminium rear uprights 54254
  • Titanium coated shafts 54241 53851
  • Aluminium motor plate 54276
  • Slipper clutch 54260
  • Titanium screws
  • Turnbuckles
  • Double cardans 42284
  • Savox servo
  • Tamiya 10.5 motor
  • TBLE02S ESC (until further notice)
  • AttackRC painted 201 bodies and wings

Probably some bits I've missed off this list. I also have a full set of 201 plastics and complete 201 diff set up as spares.

That is a proper beast. 11/10. Love those turnbuckles.

how do you find find the 10.5 with the TBLE? Mine trips the temp cut off in my Durga in hot weather but the air flow is rubbish even with the fan.

How was your experience with AttackRC? I'm thinking of sending off my DF03 body for a job, but I'm worried about shipping times, dealings, etc.

tamiya servo horn

tamiya front weight

hitec high speed servo

exotek battery plate

tamiya hex for rear tires

if anyone is looking for parts i have many extras new an used i could maybe help someone out. Im glad to see the dn01 get love, people hated on it for years and i alway said how good it was.

This is how my zahhak looks like now today:P, the gearbox and suspension arms and parts are used in this grasshopper fusion car, the rest off it is in the bin.

Just curious if I were to send them a body, what does a paint job run?

Thanks man

To be honest I haven’t had the opportunity to run it off road at all since it’s been finished. Only had a few test runs on tarmac with 23/79 gearing and no issues.

As you say there’s very little airflow or space under the body. Also, I’m sceptical about my ESC as I’ve been inside and changed out all the wiring for black direct to motor and added a lipo cut off modification. I’ve got a DB-01 build on the go at the moment which I have another 10.5 motor but with a TBLE03S ESC. The unit itself is much smaller and has an integrated fan so should be better for cooling.

I don’t hear many good reports about these ESCs so concerned I should have spent elsewhere

I would recommend them 100%

Communication and finished product are perfect.

Shipping times are what they are...

I got 2 sets of bodies and wings done for this project (1 as runners other for display) and I have 3 more projects I’ll be sending to them when parts arrive/I get round to it...

In terms of time, mine took about 2 weeks. Not including postage.

In terms of cost, I paid €55 per body.
