In terms of time, mine took about 2 weeks. Not including postage.

In terms of cost, I paid €55 per body.

Wow that's a steal.  Too bad its across the pond from me.

Yeah, on the face of it that's a great price for what is a lot of hard work.

Just body and wing to do. Off to buy a hairdryer to speed up the painting process.

Great idea for a thread this @Howards nice to see them all in one place...

Heres my DN-01 built during lockdown. Like everything else, I got totally carried away with this build!

  • Big Bores
  • Weighted front suspension mount 54439
  • Reinforced front arms 54265
  • 30 degree hub carriers 51410
  • Aluminium rear suspension mounts 54242 54243
  • 0 degree aluminium rear uprights 54254
  • Titanium coated shafts 54241 53851
  • Aluminium motor plate 54276
  • Slipper clutch 54260
  • Titanium screws
  • Turnbuckles
  • Double cardans 42284
  • Savox servo
  • Tamiya 10.5 motor
  • TBLE02S ESC (until further notice)
  • AttackRC painted 201 bodies and wings

Probably some bits I've missed off this list. I also have a full set of 201 plastics and complete 201 diff set up as spares.

They look like DT02 hop up servo mounts. Part 54397

Yeah I think you’re spot on I need to get some as I don't have any or a low profile servo so seeing what options there is. 👍🏻

Would these work with a standard size servo on the DN-01?

Yep, had em for my TRF201.

Nice one cheers. Got a decent standard size servo as it is so that’ll do nicely.

They're Schumacher Honeycomb 4wd fronts, think 24 or 25mm.

I figured they were 4wd front, have you driven it with them? Id be curious how it handles.

The TRF/DN01 fronts are wider than "standard" 2wd fronts, so handles just fine, I had the Tamiya dual block tyres on my TRF201, no problems.

I need the hardened turnbuckles....!

Why? Because they're so shiny?

Nice looking buggies guys. Pretty jealous here as my Zahhak sits NIB, waiting patiently for his owner to find time to build him. Couple of questions...

  1. Can anyone confirm that the DF-03 dampers fit? Hoping for a "yes" since I already bought a set.:D
  2. What is the reasoning behind a clear wing? Seen this on a bunch of buggies and always wondered...is it purely aesthetic? Issues with paint durability?

1) Yes. They're a straight fit on the front. Possibly a little long as stock on the rear, but just pop the large spacer inside and they're about the same length as Aeration dampers then.

2) Clear because they get bashed up and wrecked, so don't bother painting them because they're almost disposible.
