Wanted: louvered metal roof for Kyosho Javelin

Recommended Posts

Nah, my friend is just one of these rural USian individuals with no formal education but a real talent for figuring  out how all kinds of different things work.

Anyway, he tells me that making this roof is a lot harder than it looks. How it can be harder than precision machined firearms components or watch gears, I don't know, but that's why he does what he does.

No response back from Pargustore yet.

I did notice there is a laser cutting company on the next road of buildings along to the industrial estate i work on. If i dont hear back i might cad something up over the weekend and get them to price it.

Im assuming it will be something like 1.2mm aluminium with a linished or brushed finish both sides after cutting to remove the scorch marks? With any luck they may be able to press the louvres too.

I have a feeling Pargu's stuff is clear anodised to which i dont think i could get done.

Did you ever hear back from Pargu?

I can get on his case as well.

I converted a Turbo Optima to a Javelin and it really needs this mod.

Nah he never responded.

Clearly he doesnt want my cash.

I had a look at my re re in a built more detail last week. We would need two versions - one with a gap for the wing mount to fit through and one without. Maybe incoprating the lipped spoiler at the end.

I want both.
