Bennett Ironman 100 Posted July 18, 2020 Hard too see on photo but my new DT03 has a saggy backside... currently on standard shocks and springs and standard kit oil weight.. Please advise on getting her rear in check 😁
Fruitfly01 596 Posted July 18, 2020 Use stiffer springs at the rear. The DT02 spring set (53832) will have soft and hard springs in the set. Also use spring spacers to adjust the ride height a little. You can lighten the rear end a bit by using the lightweight gear shafts (54560) and using the DT02 ball differential (53863) which is a lot lighter than the gear diff. If you use the ball differential you will also need to change the drive shafts to dogbones or universal joints (53791)
Roguet 35 Posted July 18, 2020 I've got the Black Edition with the CVA shocks and have added the Hard springs from the DT02 hop up set and sits okay.

bikerclubby 40 Posted July 19, 2020 That looks low, even for stock DT03 springs. Are you sure you’ve got the shocks built correctly? I prefer the DF03 spring kit to the DT03 one, as the springs are silver or black rather than the garish red or blue.
Bennett Ironman 100 Posted July 19, 2020 Yer thinking I may strip shocks down and rebuild them ...using a heavier oil 🤔
Fruitfly01 596 Posted July 19, 2020 If you're finding the dampers unresponsive now, I wouldn't put a thicker oil in them, at least not without fitting a stiffer spring. I have mine filled with Tamiya #500 and wrapped with blue (stiff) springs. It seems ok, but I might swap the stock pistons for something that can be better tuned.
