Got the Black bits done without incident!! 😜  Next the Body Colour. On hand, I've got Black, Purple, Silver and an odd, light Teal....

I may need to find a little $$ for a can of Paint - if I can even decide what Colour!! 😲😖

Sorted the issue with the Body not fitting.... A ROOKIE mistake on my part! I had the Rear A Arms on BACKWARDS. 😲😖

.... It just doesn't matter how long you've been in the Hobby - READ the Manual. Especially when one Chassis can be built to 3 different Wheelbases!

Lesson learned.

Just gathering ideas.....

What Color would YOU Paint it if it was yours? I'm leaning towards a Red... a really dark, blood Red. But I'm actually open for ideas. 😉

I'm awaiting 2 deliveries and I'll have sumpin' in the mail headed your way.

I do have a spare can of Tamiya Mica Red if you're interested. Shall I toss it in the box?

PLEASE do!!?? 😁😁

Thank you so much! All of you have been incredible! I'm truly Humbled.

Maybe when the rest of the Parts I need get here, I can avoid putting anything ELSE on backwards!! 😜

It happens.  I had the gearbox apart 6 times on a M08 and front end apart 7 times on a M07.  Forgot a spacer, forgot grease, forgot loctite, forgot to torque a bolt, the sway goes under the brace, something shifted before the bracket....I'm somewhat concerned that screw threads may be wearing out at this point.

We're on lockdown.  Plenty of time to kill.

Oh my Friend, we've all done it at least once or 5 times... I just felt like that was a total Bone Headed goof!! 😖😠

I could use the excuse that I have to look at the Manual From a PDF on my Phone.... But I'm not one to use excuses. I screwed up!! Pick myself up, I've solved the problem, and I won't assume I know how to build a M05 blind - when all I've done before was a M01, 2 M03s and a M04.

I guess it proves that I'm Human. GAWD!!! 😜

Although.... When building my CC-01, I put the rear Diff in backwards, and the Front and Rear wheels turned in Different Directions!! 😖

Being a little daft.........

I built the POGO STICKS (took under a minute!), and fitted some of the coolness I got from @ACCEL

Actually it is all helping me with custom Body fitment. I've now got to take half of it apart when I get the Gearbox bits!!! 😖  Oh well, I really wanted to see it looking like a Car. It's been a long time coming! 😉

...... Guys - I got a SAHWEET 19T Radon Motor.  CAN I use the 19T Motor with the TBLE-02 ESC?? 😲😲

Two of my closest Friends frequently run 13.5T and even 10.5T with that ESC (with Fan)... BUT they're Brushless - and that IS a little different.

PLEASE, if you know, please let me know. Thanks Friends!!! 👊👍👍 HOPEFULLY I'll have my 18 tooth, Mod .6 Pinion, and can close that section up! 😉

.... I'm a bit Proud of myself. 😊 I just finished the whole Steering - with SCRAP Axial SCX10 Bits!!! 😁😲  I just started digging in the bin, and ideas started rolling...  This doesn't happen often to me.

IMG_20200731_120809.jpg

ZERO SLOP!! 👍👍 The Rod Ends were of course too long, but I simply chopped them shorter.

IMG_20200731_121323.jpg

That sucker is SECURE!!

IMG_20200731_122034.jpg

This surprised me the most. EXACT same Length!! 👌 NOTE there's no Servo Saver... DON'T need the extra Slop. People just use them without really thinking about it. Lately Servos are extremely powerful and have all Metal Gears.

Servo Savers are from a time when Servos were WEAK and had brittle Plastic Gears. Don't need them!! 😊 None of my 7lb PLUS Crawlers ever had Servo Savers, and not one ever broke a Servo....

The whole thing at a glance. I may still need the long Steering Rod, because the Axial one is rubbery - on purpose.

Looks Done - but FAR from it.... I gotta take the Chassis apart, because I still don't have the Transmission Shafts. It's SO tempting.... I could plug it in and RUN - except for the minor inconvenience of completely SHREDDING the Gearbox!! 😖😲

Details, details...

Don't mind me, I'm quite scattered today.... My Daughter went into Labor!!!!😲😲😲😲😁😁

I believe the lowest brushed motor the TBLE02S can run is 23t, and not all 23t motors at that, so the radon may be a little too hot.

So I see - little boy or girl?  Can we start calling you "Gramps"?

He's a brand new Boy!!!! 6lbs, 3oz. Part of me feels TOO young to be a Granddaddy.... But I'm proud and excited at the same time! 😁😁😁😁

I gotta start building him a RC Car. 😉  At the rate I'm going, I'll have it done in time for him to take it to COLLEGE!! 😜😄😂

I was thinking... 😧😲😲😲

Since I now have a TBLE-02 to play with, I wonder what the chances are of me getting a 13.5 or 15.5T BRUSHLESS Motor??

I mean, I've used them for years in my Crawlers (although the equivalent of a 35-40 Turn Brushed), and love the simplicity, less wear, LONG life! (although in the Crawlers, the Motors rarely go above 7000-8000rpm)

Can't do it, it was more of a what if, while I'm sitting in Hospital worried about my Daughter.

I lost my oldest girl almost 3 years ago, at only 27. 💔💔  I suppose I'm just overreacting. The Baby is doing great! 😊

More Mods!! 😁

I'm planning the, if I use the Torque Tuned Motor... I'd want to run a 3S Batry, to have some nice SPEED!

I need to know if the TBLE-02 has a Lipo Cutoff....

These Floureon Batteries are really cheap - yet quite good!! 👍👍

The Battery DOESN'T move! Nice and secure.

.... I'm just thinking of all sorts of things to tinker with, whilst waiting for the generous Packages to arrive!  😁  It has bugged me that I paid for Low Friction Kingpins - that have the SAME amount of slop!! 😠😠

So I came up with a goofy idea to try to rectify the problem. Of course I'm not really going to know how well it works, until I can get it out and run a few Packs through it.

IMG_20200802_164307.jpg

IMG_20200802_164816.jpg

Don't ask me how I know that! 😜

IMG_20200802_165111.jpg

These are 4mm Kingpins... I'm almost wondering if they should have been 5mm. That's how loose they were! Double checked the part number, 54409, listed for M03 through M06... But they just don't look right. 😲
