Tamiya TT02 Lancia Delta Integrale

How's YOURS coming along?

Thought I'd share a couple of pictures of my TT-02...2105330052_TT-0206.thumb.jpg.7efbfd6f7a07738b1d8217bf4c9855ae.jpg

The Blue Tub is the Tamiya HD FRP Chassis. VERY rigid and strong. BTW, the things on the Body Posts are merely to help with alignment, the foam blocks glued on prevent Body RATTLING.367285860_TT-0203.thumb.jpg.b7a5365b096c50eb69530907eac80a2f.jpg

Never got a Bumper for it either....

Here's the Yeah Racing CVDs and Aluminium Shocks. BOTH have been fantastic over the 4 years I've had it! Hopefully I should be able to afford a BODY for it! 😞 Audi or Porsche, haven't decided.1359843209_TT-0202.thumb.jpg.87fffa56e679eadd6886f1490bd7488c.jpg

Here you could see the Kimborough Servo Saver - a MUST if you have to have a Servo Saver! Absolutely NO play in it. Now that Steering Rack... SLOP CITY!!! 😖 I hope at some point to be able to replace that with Ball Raced Steering Bellcrank.

Ok. I went for Vallejo paint again as it seemed to work well on my Defender build.

was going to try and scrape the paint off and use a scotch pad on the rest. But tried some cellulose thinners on a cloth and this took the paint off well and didn’t seem to effect the shell to much.

much preferred applying the paint with my airbrush, and the Vallejo paint doesn’t smell so fumey!

And we’re back to where we were! :)

I also applied some black to the inside this time, and also applied some gorilla tape to the bottom edges as they’d taken a bit of a battering after a few runs.

I think the raced steering Rack is top of my list now. Interesting to see you can use the Ali prop shaft without the Ali cups either end!?

It's even a bit tighter with the standard Drive Cups. I've had no issues with that combination. 😉

I’m definitely going to try these mods to raise my car. I thought maybe I could ask in this thread as I have the same kit:

I’ve read in some comments on YouTube videos that it’s a bad idea to put grease on the dogbones of this model if you are planning to take it off road due to it making nasty, gummy grit that will eat up the plastic bits. I believe that and I’m about to clean mine up, but I started to wonder if the bearings in the wheels should have grease on them or not as they kinda have the same level of dirt exposure as the wishbones. My instincts tell me all bearings should have grease. Any opinions much appreciated.

20210509_153043.thumb.jpg.6a605abc92f6d6c189d9dac7a2522730.jpgWith the grease on bearings, it can gum things up a bit as it attracts dust and dirt etc. Bearings work best without. The plastic and brass bushings that come standard with the kit are a different issue.

Here's my Lancia chassis. So far added bearings, Yeah Racing shocks, Tamiya Sport Tuned motor, and aluminium drive shaft. Next will be steering and aluminium wheel hexes.

Here's my TT02 with Lancia Delta Integrale body

Plenty of hop ups from Tamiya, Yeah Racing and GPM.  The Kamtec dust cover is a game changer!  I got sick of gravel and dirt getting stuck in the chassis and jamming the steering and centre drive shaft.

Not too much else to upgrade now although I was thinking of trying some Yeah Racing 70mm big bore dampers with custom shock towers for better suspension travel...

Added to my Lancia Delta Integrale really sets it off.

I've always been a FIRM believer in that Cars and Trucks NEED Drivers!! "Autonomous Cars" bug me to no end! 😖😞  Fantastic job on that interior.

I've been beating my brains out on a completely Custom made Interior on my Grand Hauler... In the "Tanks and Big Rig" Threads. It's a tremendous amount of work - and as most know, a lot of effort to post on a Host site to transfer to Here and then post on this Forum...

Only to get practically no love whatsoever. I'm thinking it's just not worth the trouble to Post there. 😞 spacer.png

.... Just a brief example of some of it. I DON'T want to Threadjack - but I do want to show you Guys what's possible with just some Sheet Styrene and imagination! 😉  Oftentimes, Interior elements aren't available off the Shelf. Or, maybe you just can't afford what you want at the time. With a little extra time and work, you can achieve something pleasing! 😊

@Oosto ANYBODY who can successfully get through a Lancia Integrale Decal Set - EARNS my Respect!!! 👍👍💯  Absolutely awesome work!
