No idea where this should really go, bottom few pics kinda make it vintage, I guess?

Anyroad, with the compo on what should have been made, it seems relevant.

No idea who owned this car, the pictures were sent to me to see if I wanted to buy it, 2 or 3 years ago.

Sadly, I never [V]

Now that l am loving!!!!!!!!

It's not that it's an SRB chassis but the fact that the maker used as much of the chassis to cover up that fact.

The only interesting part is the SRB chassis, but how bad was it?

I guess you'll never know...

According to the damage of the 928, it would have suffered that much too...

The Barby-928 is destroyed, that's for sure...

Don't punish yourself, chances are everywhere, just be on the right spot, that's all.

Nice info though!

That is insane! Would have made a great novelty runner I reckon, certainly a shame to break it for spares.

I saw that very same car on eBay last year, ended with no bids. The guy that was selling it said he built it himself, think it was made for a promotion of some kind.

Yes, seems like toy car which was modified to RC, had done that in my youth too with a approx. 1:12? Mercedes 450 SEL W116, hope I still have the parts somewhere.

Cheers

I did a similar thing once, I put a 'Barbie' 911 convertible body onto a Tamiya TGX chassis (made up special front and rear bumpers that attached to the TGX in the normal way, but also connected into the 911 body. It went very well, excpe the body was alittle heavier than normal. The good thing about using such bodies, is that the 'Accidents' are some much more relistic. Lights fall out, mirror come off, windscreen popped off, body scratches are permenant !!!
