Looking for recommendations for some good foam inserts as I'm trying to finish up my Konghead.

I have used these in the past, but find them a little too soft.:

I really like the Proline 6194-00 dual stage truck foams in my Lunchbox but they're long discontinued.

Has anyone tried the Proline closed cell truck foams in Lunchbox tires?

How odd. I know Martin from rcbitz and hadn't even thought about those. Thank you. I'll get some ordered. How are they in the wet?

I’ve driven back from the park and walks a few times in the wet, it’s hard to tell really because of what the car is. Up hill it’s brilliant, with a 3300kv and short squirts of the throttle I’m getting up quite steep inclines without backwards rolling and grips really well with the big Vs.

Ordered from RCBitz. I'll see how they go. I really like the Proline closed cell inserts, but at nearly 40 quid for 6, I'm not sure I can justify it. We'll see.

Am I the only one who has used whatever foam came in some delivery package or I could find, cut to length, glue in circle and made my own. Not for anything serious racing, but I used to do that on Kyosho Big Brute which has about as much precision as a Lunchbox.  I have even done it on the CC-02 rock block tires.

Hi

I would try cutting them down my self, but unfortunately the last time I tried they didn't turn out right, and my hands have only gotten more shaky since then.

Aaah, that matters then.  I would add though racers and crawlers become obsessed with some unicorn mythical foam property, for running a Lunchbox around whatever fits is likely fine.  Given it is a Lunchbox you could probably shove a PB&J sandwich in them and achieve results :D

They're ok and do the job. A couple of the ones I had weren't cut out the best and had they have been for a race buggy I wouldn't have used them. But, in a Lunchbox they are just fine.
