Where do I get this body for my Super Clod?

Recommended Posts

I have no idea, but as I’m killing time in bed.. I think it looks quite close to the one used on this:- https://www.sussex-model-centre.co.uk/carisma-scale-adventure-sca-1e-1976-ford-f-150-1-10th-4wd-ready-to-run-scale-truck?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIntS3ifn76gIVlIXVCh0khAtwEAkYCyABEgLA4fD_BwE

It’s the raised detail on the rear bumper that made it stand out from most of the others.

Ford F-150, Though google tells me the Bigfoot was an F250

This one is very similar.  JConcepts 1979 F-250.

I don't think it's exact - the photo you show has slightly rounder arches and the swage line seems a little higher on the JConcepts, but the JConcepts body, but that might be an illusion due to paint or the builder's choice in where to add the chrome strip.

The JConcepts body is licensed from Ford, so should be pretty close to the real thing, a quick Google image search shows the smaller, rounder arch is more correct to the real truck but smaller arches never scale down well.

 And the firestone tires.

They look like stock Clod tyres (because of the diamonds moulded into the sidewall) with Firestone stickers

Found a list of parts for another Bigfoot build they did;

3179-01 Ranger Tires (Blue compound)
3380S Midwest Wheels (Custom chrome plated)

I used the Traxxas Body for my Dagger.

https://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=135986&id=41592

It seems to be the right size for a Clod.

The only thingthat i have to change is the black bed with the Ford Logo and the Tyredecals.

Do anyone know where i can score some Firestone decals?

I used this body on a Stampede. Decided to go with a “custom truck” look instead of Bigfoot. That’s PS-14 copper.

MCI racing have Firestone tyre decals

https://mciracing.ca/products/1-10th-firestone-tire-decals

Also a Firestone monster truck decal set

https://mciracing.ca/products/1-10th-monster-truck-firestone-decals

Also this Ford decal set has some Firestone logos

https://mciracing.ca/products/1-10th-monster-truck-ford-460-640-decals

If you needed specific sizes or colours, contact MCI via their website - they will make you a custom decals sheet of whatever logos you need and AFAIK they ship worldwide (I regularly order from them and I am in UK)

The body on the right side looks like a 89 Ford. Its not a 79.  I think its a JConcepts, which is a direct fit for the Clod WB

That metallic blue is very close to Tamiya PS-16.  See it here backed in Silver. If you back it in black, it will darken a little.

MCI used to do Bigfoot decals but they are off the site now.  Maybe ask Nathaniel if he still does them.
