It hurts!

Recommended Posts

So I was trying to do a range test on my radio gear and I chose the Manta Ray as a test dummy. I recently fixed the antenna on the old RC4G. The weather is nice and I thought I can do a quick range test... stupid me, I didn't bother to fully charge the transmitter battery... now I'm thinking that my range could also be due to the 5v left in the transmitter....

Head on collision to the curb is not good..

I most definitely need a new tub, and a new gear cover... ouch... this all happened on the stock can on 2s. I was not even gunning it as I was very cautious about losing signal... it just went erratic and decided to go straight to the curb...

Does the esc not cut power when the transmitter signal is lost or have you got an original mechanical esc?

Unfortunately, my radio does not have a fail safe mode unlike the newer radiolink transmitters.

The esc only cuts off when the LVC kicks in, but not when transmitter power goes low... is 5v on the transmitter considered low already?

was this a Brown Out, or just range isn't far enough?

BEC needed? or better RX.

It Hurts, St. Joseph aspirin and Curad's help boo boo's heel fast.

Not sure honestly. I tried to run my m03 after to pinpoint the cause. My initial thought was because of the antenna repair I did... but it seems that something else is the culprit...

In my M03...

1. Used a known good Rx different from the Manta Ray

2. Full charged 2s lipo

3. 2 RC4G transmitter; one that was repaired, one that was undamaged.

After running the M03 using two different transmitter, I got the same results: limited range, erratic response when goes out of range. What I did notice is that the batteries in the transmitters showed 5v which is not a full charge. I'm only using four AA nimh on both Tx... and that's what it think caused the problem... I will recharge the batteries and see if theres a difference.

@ACCEL I think amlodipine is what I need...
