Mini 4wd. + Wild mini 4wd

Had a few of the wild mini kits before but just built my first mini thunder dragon. 

It's too fast!!!! Lol

Need a track but not ready to pay £300 for the Tamiya one. 

I've seen Dave's awesome work with the slot conversion on the wild minis..

I wonder if the racing minis would run on a slot?

But then slot car tracks probably aren't wide enough..

Any alternatives available??

Nothing of use to add unfortunately, but I can relate to the "too fast" comment. I had collected many of the Wild Mini kits as the buggy Racing Minis weren't commonly available at the closest LHS. When I finally did get my first Racing Mini, a Fox, I was quite shocked at how fast it was, being accustomed to the monster Wild variants. I turned it on for the first time and the Fox shot down the hallway quicker than I could catch it, eventually crashing in the kitchen somewhere.

Yes the Tamiya racing buggy's can be converted to slot. but would need wide slot spacing, or run on a track designed for 1/24th scale slot cars.
