Vintage Tamiya TV Commercial

Does anybody remember an old Tamiya television commercial they had back in the 80's? It was in the states, and looked like a low budget ad. A kid and his dad are in the living room, the dad comes home with a generic toy R/C car, and the kid says, "But dad, that's not an MRC Tamiya". The dad comes home with a better looking R/C car (hobby quality), and the kid says again, "Dad, that's not an MRC Tamiya." Then the dad comes home with a FULL SCALE Ferrari 308, and the kid still says "But dad, thats NOT and MRC TAMIYA!" Finally, the dad comes home with a Tamiya car (don't ask which one; my memory isn't THAT good!) and the kid says "Now THAT's an MRC Tamiya!"

I hate it when that happens... when all you want is a Tamiya but end up getting a real Ferrari instead. [)]

Same here - that 308 won't fit on my bedroom shelf plus

Sigh!!! it's a tough gig, but send your unwanted full size 308s to me, I promise to do my very best to take care of them :-)
