Lights done for now. Will add more once I get the rear bumper

Kp1rTmXh.jpg

I replaced the rear LEDs with lower intensity bulbs red and orange. The stock are super bright LEDs.

The lights are controlled via aux channels 3 & 4 using a light switch board connected to the receiver.

Installed magnet body mounts. So much better and easier than putting those pins and taking them off.

I created a magnet mount for the rear from a 2mm carbon fiber board. I still used the stock body posts.

Nice wheels. I’ve been looking for some five bolts like that for my JK. Where are they from?

I bought them from an Asian online shop called Lazada.

Thank you! I’ve not seen that site before or seen wheels quite like that on eBay.

New metal bumper.

It's quite hard to find metal bumpers that would fit the Jimny's narrow body. The aftermarket Jimny bumpers are made of plastic and priced high ($60 each). I found this bumper with the proper width that fits the Jimny. But the mounting of course is much different as this is made for SCX10. So I ordered a generic SCX10 aluminum bumper mount. Fits the CFX's chassis with a little modification on chassis' (widen the screw holes to allow the mount to be screwed). Then I also removed the long triangular bull bar installed on the bumper.

Aluminum bumper mount installed.

Test fit... Perfect!

Looking good @Nicadraus 👍🏻

Would you be able to measure the length of the Roof light bar please?
I’ve found it online but can’t see any specs for it. It might do for something I have in mind. Ta.

Really made a difference!! That Bullbar didn't look like it would protect much.... That's the same Bumper that looked too narrow on my Jeep Comanche - but looks PERFECT on a Jimny or Samurai. 👍👍

Update:

Installed rear bumper with rear fog lamps.

Bought this KYX rear bumper for 313. It was too wide so I cut the side bars to make it shorter. Then installed rear fog lamps.

JqxTbW7h.jpg

Painted the lens of the rear fog lamps to clear red and the reflector housing to bright silver.

Ordered a newer electronic box. Bigger to fit the light switch circuits and it's made of aluminum. Re-arranged the wires too.

Replaced the plastic steering lower link to aluminum too. No more flexing.

Now THAT'S how you FIX a CC-01!!! 😁😊💯👍👍

I can't wait to get at least 2 of those, a CFX and CMX Chassis. The CMX will work great under my Landfreeder, which has a Plate style Interior and Driver from a Holiday Buggy....

The CFX... We'll see!! 😉  You've really sold this. MST owes you promotional fees!! 😜

Hahaha! True!

I was just browsing RCMart and saw aluminum knuckles. But it's way too expensive for a pair at $51. I was also looking at the aluminum link mounts. $19 each!

I guess I'll have to be happy and must be satisfied with this. :)
