Boy are turns 1, 2 and 3 tough.

I take it I'm not alone in being "generous" with the track limits on the outside of the circuit.

Not at all, my TT02 had to make a 3 point turn to get around marker 2 & 3.

Usually by this point, I will have had several driving sessions of several hours each, have my car perfectly dialled in, and be sufficiently familiar with the track to pretty much drive it with my eyes closed. However this round, work and life have gotten in the way somewhat, with the result that this afternoon was my first attempt at the track. And probably my last.

I don't know about you, but I strongly suspect I won't be on the podium this round! 🤔

Just realized this Round ends today... Time to go ahead and submit my results 😅 only one attempt for me as well, which is all it takes to participate amyway. This track was fun though, wish I could have ran it more!

Well done @Ferruz! Some excellent lap counts there, and from only one attempt too!

Congrats @Ferruz👍

I'm really chuffed with my place on the podium myself. On these tight tracks I feel the control the standard silver can gives me, gets me a bigger advantage than the surplus power from the brushless system I had installed before.

Great job every ones, @Ferruz get his throne and crown back B)

I struggled a lot with that #6, every time my car (RX and Bear) overshoot way too much. I really need to fix the steering on my TT02, it was like driving a bucker on ice. Skating all around the place.

Pretty pleased with my rank on that one ! This is for sure one of my favorite car.

I need to get a tarmac spec for the next one.

Geez @Ferruz 😱 that holiday back home did you some good 👍🏻

I think I would have gone dizzy trying to count a car going around that tight track at that pace 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Thanks for the fun, guys. It's some impressive lap counts here. Also on loose surface.

After the dicussion about the line we had here I got 3 more laps with the Grasshornet. I had problems with my charger, so I did not get to try the Tomahawk with the better line. Yesterday I wanted to try one last time, but after 20 min test run on Lipo on Saturday it turned out that the brushes were all completely gone.

Today my wife is having a surgery, so I think i'll have to pass the next round. But I'm going to fix up the motor in the meantime.

@Andreas W

A pitty you haven't got the chance to put the Tomahawk around this track.

I will keep my fingers crossed for the surgery.

I will be in the clinic myself this afternoon to accompany my adult daughter in need of eye surgery to prevent complete blindness.

I did drive the Tomahawk earlier, but not with the improved line and not with the shorty lipo with better weight distribution.

Fingers crossed and best wishes for your daughter :).

Here's hoping everything goes well for both of you!

As for the track, I think *maybe* I could have pulled out several more laps with practice, but not top 5.  Ah well.  I have modified the steering on my DT-03, so maybe it will help with the next track.  That isn't to say I want tight turns!!!!  :D

@Andreas W and @Tamiyastef my best wishes to both of you. Fingers crossed that everything goes well.

As for next round, I will try to have a track designed by sometime this weekend. Should that not be the case, I will maybe have to ask @Grastens to intervene once again if he doesn't mind :)

Good evening, racers!

First off, sorry it took me this long, it's been a hectic couple days. But here we are with a new track! Thought I'd bring you back to Europe this time, to one of those really iconic tracks... duly shrunk and simplified as usual, in order to fit our playgrounds. There may be one or two extra markers this time, but the overall dimensions are still 3 x 6 meters so hopefully not an issue for anyone.

If it works for everybody and there are no problems or objections, we are going to the Nürburgring!

20220403-193200.jpg

Pending @TurnipJF's approval, who I'd like to thank once again for making this happen for all of us! 😃

Goes without saying, if you guys want anything to be changed just say so.

One thing: I'll be flying off for a work trip tomorrow, not sure how long I'll be away but will definitely be for most of the month, so there's chances I won't be able to participate this time. In any case, if this gets approved,I wish y'all fun and happy racing! 🏁

Technical early turns. I already have a plan for what the racing line needs to look like to get round it with any pace.

Madcap is currently on the bench, so I guess it'll force me to sort out turn-in on the TFE.

Magnificent track and artwork, @Ferruz! This should be a fun one :)

Exactly. I've played around with the shocks a bunch on the TFE (and not yet run). But I'm certain next up is at least zero toe-in...

Good grief!! I tried this today, normally have my M-05 steering at 70-75 d/r, last track about 80+ but this one was basically full! The limit of my physical and metal ability this one for sure, head was spinning by the end of practice and 3 runs. Imagine it would be a real nice experience at twice the size but I found it real hard work with my physical limitations so not expecting to be anywhere this time. Still it's the challenge ......lol

At least you have had your runs already. For me it will be maybe Easter weekend but I have my M-05 geared for speed so absolutely not ideal for this track. I don't fancy re-gearing either.

I have the standard 20t pinion and standard gears but did put my shimizu tyres/wheels on rather than the 60d's
