A two-horse race, and it looks like I rode the slower horse. Well done @Andreas W!

Thanks for the kind words. It means something coming from you, when we remember your double win with 2x48 laps in 2022. That was really something already then. Ferruz' 46 laps with the Terra was also pretty brutal.

Do we feel for more revisiting? I remember one of the first courses we had in 2023, when I started running Shimizus on the M-05 and things started to loose up for me. I have to look back to spring 2023 and hope the pics are still there. That course would be nice scaled up with 3 relatively long straights and a super quick sweeper between two of them.

I recently joined the forum due in large part to this thread and wanting to participate!

You can count me in for the next round. I'll be running a TT-01E as the main car with some others mixed in for fun. I have a M-08 ready to go once I get around to ordering electronics for it. Well, and building it.

There have been some very nice tracks used in past rounds. Revisiting them is fine by me!

****! ****! ****! I was so keen on joining this round and yet it didn't happen. Life got in the way as ever so often :(

Congrats to the both of you and @Andreas W for winning.  Seems 48 is really the max on this track.

I've got no problem with revisiting (just a problem to actually join )

Welcome @benchrc, the more the merrier :)

I think I want to revisit Hebbes Racing (despite winter is over) from spring 2023. That is a fast and flowing course, not necessarily favorasing smaller M-chassis.

Counter clockwise like in 2023?

Yeah,  or what do the community think? I tried both last time and it's best counterclockwise.

Maybe we will see 50 laps this time.

For me counterclockwise is good. Might have to change the starting point to make the LapMonitor work but that would be the same for both directions.

Great times there. Love seeing how good the XV01 is vs the XV02. It really is fast becoming the most praised and interesting rally / touring platform despite being 6 years old already.

Need to get my Scorpion 380 finished to give that Tomahawk a run for its money!

Marked up the course yesterday and tested it with the M-05 today. It has been my preferred starter a few years now and still is.

In addition to the M-05 I think I am gonna enter the M-08 in Escort MK2 form. The latter is gonna ride Shimizus (even though the Ride slicks are better).

This is a good flowing course and I hope for many participants this time. Welcome to @benchrc.

I have been running this a good bit now with the M-05 and the lapcount has stagnated. My take what I have diff oil mixture of 30K with a good dab of 1mill is not what it used to be. It's diffing out quite bad to the right when I floor it after marker 3. So it looks like it’s time for the M-08 now,  unless I take the time to split the M-05 again (which ATM probably is less positively seen by others in the household)..

Now that classes are done I have the time to actually join in on Racing by Post! My driveway is paved and just big enough for the tracks! If the weather's good I should be able to run my bt-01 on Tuesday!

I went really old school for today's postal racing attempts, taking my M01 Mini for an outing. I was quite surprised and pleased with how it went. For such an old design running on really old stock tyres, it was quite sure-footed and well-behaved.

Cool,  TurnipJF.

I ran the M-08 in Escort MK2 form today. After running the super trusty M-05, which is going like on rails this was a real challenge. The biggest issue turned out to go on the right side of marker 4, if I was to early and too hard on the throtle rounding marker 3. It's 8 laps behind the M-05 and you can see it's going much slower from marker 5-1. It's going on Shimizu though,  while I ran the M-05 on Ride slicks in all fairness.

I've put some good laps in with the BT-01 Supra today! I feel like putting the stiff yellow springs the tt02 cva set came with could help for tomorrow. Does anyone remember what the top lap counts were last time so I know what to aim for? I know I can get much better at handling the BT-01 in FR.

The chart is on page 99. 46 laps it was.

Good luck racingB).

I've put the yellow springs on and a set of USGT wheels & tires. Grip is much better with these!

I didn't time most of my laps, but by the second pack I was able to actually get nice flowing continuous laps, rather than the stop and go I was doing before.

When I did start counting, I managed to do 3 more laps! I quite like my BT-01.

I just took the C11 out with it's Group C pancar chassis. I have it setup with maximum ride height and really soft roll in the rear.

I was surprised by how well it did! With all the pebbles swept away, it was able to drive very smoothly. Being far lighter than the BT-01, with a smaller battery, it was able to corner sharper and with more speed. I can't wait to try it later once the track has warmed up a bit.

Glad you are enjoying your Group C. They really are quite remarkably capable on tight tracks despite their size.

The turning radius of the C11 is nearly half a foot smaller than the BT-01! It's really nice, even with just bearings and softer front springs.

I see now why GroupC classes have popped up in asia, the chassis are light and durable, come with a spec motor and good tires, and are nearly as cheap as a tt02.

I just removed a shock spacer from the center, which should improve the off power steering, I think.
