Instead of having the quote from last page, when I (again) wanted to edit I can instead use then opportunity to say that I am gonna run the M-08 next week. I need to adjust the brakes and will need some time getting used to it.

I'll be taking my Stampede 4x4 vxl and my Wild One BHM with me on holiday next week.  Hope to run some RbP with those on the beach

Two cars that I haven't run before in RbP and first RbP off road attempt. Already looking forward to this :D

My Mercedes C11 has barely ever run, so it is novelty all around for me in the matter. I'm excited to see how it will compare to the other C11 belonging to @Eric Bloodsmith :)

Maybe Mr @TurnipJF will be tempted to add his to the list as well now 😉

Looks like there will be a few entries this month.

My Wild One BHM before it's carry case

Beautiful BH Wild One. It's so much nicer with silver lights than the toy grade looking yellow. Have a nice vacation.

I've rebuilt the C11's diff with freshly polished diff rings and installed the Dynamite 20T motor. The magnets in it are noticably stronger than the Sport Tuned. The temps are also very low, likely due to the integrated fan. Between the motor and tightening the T-bar screw, I managed to add another 5 laps to my count.

I took the M-08 Escort out for the first time in this round yesterday. I had turned the brakes down to 62,5%, as it was way too much. The default setting on the ESC was 100%. Last round it felt promising (apart from when braking), but now the temps are lower, so it's struggeling for grip. It was a challenge not to spin in the first and last corners while braking. I had also forgot to put in a transponder, so manually counting was the thing. If I was braking when the car was going straight it was fine. If it still had a slight wheelspin while going off the throtle it would spin. In the first corner it would typically spin to the right. The slalom part went fully tick, tack, toe, so on a lap where I was able to brake straight in the first corner it felt really nice and flowing - only to spin on the next lap ripping you out of the zone.

After loads of laps (you make a few on a 5000mAh battery at these speeds) I was finally able to complete a stint where I spun only once. To no surprice that was also the best result. I need a few more attempts with this before I try the endurance course.

I've been reading through wtcc5's FF-01 collection thread and it got me interested in FF cars. I just got my BT-01 setup in FF and gave it a rip around. It feels incredible, even better than the mini touring car I used to have! I can't wait to try it on the track!

The BT-01's hubs have two holes for mounting the ballstud for the toe link. The manual tells you to use the outer one. By using the inner hub hole, moving the lower shock mount to the inner position, and removing the steering limiters, MASSIVE amounts of steering angle can be gained. I tried it out on MR, but if you have double cardan joints they might work. I really had to stay on the throttle nail the chicane.

Yesterday I gave the M-08 another try. I had gone down to 50% on the brakes. That helped on the spinning,  but also brought the braking power down to known 1060 level. For the endurance I think I'll go back to 62,5% and adapt/live with it. I did loads of aborted stints where I either went off the tarmac in the chicane or knocked down the lapcounter. On the two last stints I was finally able to go the full 5 minutes. On the best stint I only had 2 laps over 6 seconds bringing it up to the same lapcount as the M-05 Golf. I am very happy with that.

I had another go today with my Stampede 4x4. This course is tiny for this truck.

I would normally have done more attempts with my Wild One BHM but it's troubled beyond "holiday repair" so I'm forced to use my Stampede.

Where did you get the mexico decals? I have been trying to find some for months for my green Mk2 Escort M06.

They are from RC Decals in the UK. He does Mexico,  1600 Sport,  RS 2000, Harrier and loads of rally liveries. It's hard to pick just one.

That is a real shame about the WO, but I think I know what the problem was now. The Tamiya just didn’t like sharing a room with Traxxas on holiday 😉

I was planning on another attempt this week before going back to work tomorrow, but painting the house (& the start of a lot more to come 😬) took priority these days off so I’m just gonna submit what I’ve got.

I always thought my Traxxas cars were kinda shy, nowhere near the "I'm the fastest, I'm the best, GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!" attitude you see in promo vids or on YouTube.

Probably because they have to share the basement with and are completely outnumbered by Tamiya's and Kyosho's
