Stealth body mounts

Recommended Posts

I have never been a big fan of body posts on a touring car bodyshell, my buggys are mounted with velcro. I recently purchased a nissan skyline r33 bodyshell for my drift chassis, and I would prefer no holes in the body. I purchased some stealth mounts, which are great, the fronts fit over the original posts, the rears are aluminium and replace the original posts. The magnets are good, but very strong, which leaves the question of attaching them to the body.

I decided that the rear magnets will hold the rear spoiler to the body and also hold the body in position, but the fronts cannot be hidden. I have some lexan glue, but what is suggested to properly hold the magnets in place, I dont have any experience in this area.

I had the idea of fixing the magnets to the front bumper, as it's a separate piece front and rear, and making it fit that way.
