What's in your tool box?

Recommended Posts

So... What's in your tool box? I'm sure we all have different equipment and tools.

What's your couldn't live without? What's on your wish list?

I have simple Phillips and flat head screwdrivers, along with the tamiya tool and Allen keys.... But I'm planning on getting some jis screwdrivers and hex drivers... And suggestions?

I also have needle nose pliers, a hammer, bradle, drywall tape, silicone glue, scissors, hobby knife, masking tape, toothbrushes, paintbrush, sharpie.

Interested to hear what you have.

I have several tool boxes...the wife says I have too many tools...when it comes to tools there is no such thing as too many.

She is probably right though...

JIS screwdrivers indispensable for Tamiya stuff. Recently bought a set of hex drivers in small sizes (1.5 - 3mm). Much stiffer an easier  to use than small allen keys.
Weirdest tool is a set of toe nail pliers for removing parts from bulk mouldings!

My DF03 box is currently my tool box. I have in it:

Tamiya blue tool set (indispensible; has JIS, flat, nut, and allen drivers)

A selection of pliers: longnose, bent longnose, TRF shock pliers, cutting pliers, etc

Ball cup remover

Hobby knife

Selection of greases and shock fluids

Double-sided tape

Digital caliper

Cutting mat

A few multi-compartment screw boxes

All the above are necessary, and I can't live without any of them for my hobby.

seriously i purchased my wife a roll away stackable plastic tool chest for all her gear (make up, you know girly things) all her friends found out and went to go purchase the same thing or similar. never had had that problem with her after that.

well she's gone now and you know what? she forgot to take it, now i have all my fasteners in there just for RC.

well it's fun now, wasn't then.

but yeah!

truly time does heal.

Okay, so I just searched for the tamiya blue set, and came across this set... Looks pretty cool and haven't come across it before, is this the one you have? 49267. https://www.rcjaz.co.uk/tamiya-49267-trf-tool-set-blue-color-p-3566.html

Actually I was referring to this set:

"Rc Tool Set 8Pcs / Tamiya USA" https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/tools/rc-tool-set-2/

But the one you linked is quite interesting; I didn't know of its existence.

My RC Tool set consists of:

The usual Tamiya 8 Piece JIS set.

A small multi box with eh various kit issue spanners and wrenches in

A small multi box with the various greases in, with applicators. (they are the small sponge makeup tester brushes, and awesome)

A decent desktop soldering station, and 2 sets of helping hands, one with a magnifying glass.

An aluminium

Various small tools in a small container.

Best tool? I love my parallel action pliers.

Need to get: Shock shaft pliers. And I just found out about ball cup pliers.

Real tools. 1:1.

Bluepoint, Wera, Britool (Old, Good stuffz) etc

FoxShot  I didn't catch you wanted shock pliers. I wasn't taken a shot at you. They do make it easier as any tool does, so I'll keep it all !!
