Hi there,

I'm looking for new wheels & tyres for my Mini Cooper (58211). I know that there is Tamiya's own and HPI mini wheels but HPI seems to be hard to find atm. Is there any other sets on same size that fits directly to MO3 chassis without modifying bodysells? All suggestions are more than welcomed, Thanks in advance!

Look at my trades.

There's a brand new bag of ARP Rally wheels.

Also new foam tires and some used Mini tires.

Will make an exception to sell them seperately:

ARP-wheels (bag): €15,-

Foam tires: €8,-

Others: mail me what you want.

Grtz Dee.

I put some HPI wheels and tires on my mini and they were readily available at TowerHobbies at the time.

here's how they look:

Right now they are "Mid December" stock status - but that's right now, really....

Rcmart.com has some Xpress mini rubber tires at a very good price:

and some foam tires that are even cheaper:

I've tried the 1/10 size touring car version of the rubber tires and they had plenty of grip on carpet but didn't last long so I would expect the front set to wear out quite fast on a Mini (M01/M03). Also the white Xpress rims that came with the touring car wheels was very fragile and the rims on the foam tires looks very similar so you shouldn't bash them to hard.

Edit: Found out that rcmart also has Ride slicks for the mini:

I'd recommend the HPI X-pattern tyres (belted or unbelted) - loads of grip and last much longer on the front than the kit tyres. You'll need to get the HPI wheels as well though - they're too loose on the kit wheels.

Thanks for your replies. Just ordered some rubbers from rcmart. First I thought those HPI X-Patterns w/ HPI 5-spoke wheels but seems that TowerHobbies is only place that carries 'em and are marked "Out of Stock" atm. Local distributor's answer was "HPI has discontinued that product"
