Which RC controller etc

When I get the Tamiya 1/16 Tiger 1 tank, what do I need to make it run?

Any recommendations on the best controller etc.

I got a fully programmable radio with more than 4 channels when I bought my RC tank.  I did it so I can map functions to switches so I don't have to mess about with the stick combos to fire the main gun etc.
