Finally got the rally/street sleeper some paint, I'm relatively pleased with how it came considering it was the first body I've done, the Lunchbox was pretty easy by comparison.

I'm really happy with how the translucent red, anodised silver and black has come out, and waiting to peel the mask off and see how it's worked is great! 

There is a few bad bits on it and some dust but I'll live with it!

And this afternoon found this in a carpark as well! Mine is pretty close and never seen a Yaris in this colour before!

Stole the plates off the lunchbox overnight!

Still undecided on the decals, I think it will just get a few discrete ones, and definitely the Michelin man ones!

What paint have you used out of interest? I hope you're going to say PS-15 Metallic red, since that's what I've just ordered for my next build and I was still on the fence about it!

These three, probably not the easiest way to get the desired effect but I'm pretty happy with my very amateur results!

There is a really good how to on the site somewhere which I loosely followed and also a good YouTube video albeit in a foreign language I watched a few times.

Just search for translucent paint!

FANTASTIC results!! I'm going to be trying a similar experiment, using undercoats to achieve a One-Off color. But WOW! Really, that looks sharp. 👍👍

Thanks, I'm really happy with it, it's not perfect by any means and the colour is not totally even but the effect looks really good, I'm definitely going to go translucent again and try out some other effect, I'm thinking of giving the next one some PS53 then green translucent, the anodised silver again and back it with black and see what happens!
